Clinical Workflow Walkthrough, A Radtastic Dosimetry Day Celebration

It’s a dosimetry day celebration! Radformation CSMs Katie Tinnon and Dan Frieling explore the features of Radformation’s software solutions with a particular focus on our treatment planning workflow that are critical to dosimetrists’ day-to-day challenges. They walk through patient plans start-to-finish from contouring to plan evaluation, showing key automation features for users along the way. 

To start, Katie and Dan share AutoContour’s registration workspace. With the ability to fuse MRI, PET, and diagnostic CT scans, they walk through the application’s functionality and how to utilize this in a clinical environment. 

From there, they demonstrate how to create quick 3D plans with our 3D generator tool in EZFluence, sharing how to create 3D plan comparisons for insurance authorization in a fraction of the time previously required. 

After planning, Dan & Katie share best practices in plan evaluation using ClearCheck to evaluate multiple plans/plan sums at the same time by utilizing the “Plan Comparison” tool.

A common step in plan evaluation is secondary dose calculations. They show an important feature in ClearCalc, which has its very own “Photon/Electron Hand Calc Module”. This is a great tool for urgent cases planned without a CT dataset and for those clinical electron plans.

The entire experience is a celebration of dosimetrists while displaying tools that aid in creating a more efficient planning process.
